Afia Akoto goes wild, gives 48 hours notice to radio station | Politics

Deputy Managing Director of Microfinance and Small Loan Center (MASLOC), Afia Akoto requests the retraction and unreserved apologies from Class Media Group, owners of Accra Fm within 48 hours for certain statements made by a Baah Achemfuo, a panelist on a political broadcast on the station.

Afia Akoto issued a strong warning to Class Media over comments made by the panelist about her identity as Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament (MP) Sarah Adwoa Safo on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

Lawyer Sarah Adwoa Safo has become a hot issue in the country as some members of the minority denied her presence in parliament during the government’s 2022 budget vote.

Majority members met on the same day on the budget after the minority rejected it on Friday, November 26.

The majority approved the budget with their figures, but following their decision it was claimed that someone else had voted in place of MP Dome-Kwabenya.

The minority claimed that said Adwoa Safo was an imitator.

A few days after the majority approval of the budget and the discussion on Accra Fm, Baah Achemfuo, at a roundtable, said he had information about the said imitator, naming Afia Akoto.

Shockingly, he claimed that the impersonator was Afia Akoto, insisting that “Afia Akoto can do anything to save the nuclear power plant and Akufo-Addo… If Afia has to cut his leg to keep the nuclear power plant in power , it will ”.

MASLOC’s deputy managing director went mad over these comments and immediately tasked his lawyers with handling the case.

In a statement in DGN Online’s possession of attorneys for Afia Akoto, Marfo & Associates to Class Media said that Baah Achemfuo’s statements “exposed our client to public ridicule, verbal attacks and threats through ‘anonymous phone calls’ and are ‘instructed to demand an immediate apology and retraction of the statement attributed to our client within 48 hours of receipt of this letter in the same importance as you gave to your earlier post’.

“Please note that if you do not retract and apologize to our client within 48 hours of receiving this letter, we will initiate appropriate legal proceedings to assert our client’s rights without any further recourse against you. . “
