Guy named punk bands to troll conservative radio show
What do New Found Glory, Blink-182, Rancid, Black Flag, and Fall Out Boy have in common? Well, today they’re all part of a punk-centric rant by “Bill” … er … Rob Dobi, an illustrator, certified punk, and our new American hero, who named a number impressive punk bands at a conservative talk radio show epic troll work.
Dobi posted a clip to his @RobDobi Twitter account with the introduction that “I called a conservative morning show and tried to name as many punk bands as possible before they knew it.” For context, he apparently called the Life with Liz show on Nashua, New Hampshire-based station WSMN hosted by conservative commentator Liz Gabert, a self-proclaimed “#patriot” from West Texas, who now hosts “the most awesome radio show of all time.” in Nashua. What follows is epic trolling work that belongs to the punk rock hall of fame.
âOne of my main problems is⦠I’m a Republican in a pretty liberal area, sometimes I feel like everyone is right against me!â Begins the caller named Bill. âI feel like what we need to do is listen to what our Descendants have told us. Because in the past we have refused to live a life of agony. I am fed up with everything. I’m sick of people thinking we’re just a minor threat. Enough of this Fugazi. A lot of these people just have Bad Brains, which are Misfits who give up on Black Flag and they’re pretty much Anti-Flag. I think we need to converge and help the young people of today because every time you blink, 182 children disappear⦠â

The moment of zen continues as the unsuspecting host and his guests take the time to respond “Bill” as if he’s dead serious. He then begins to intervene again, naming even more groups for multiple payoffs that are worth watching in their entirety. Find out in the tweet above and let the spirit of “Bill” guide your next trip around the mosh pit.
