Kyle Sandilands slams his own radio station KIIS FM in live eight-minute rant: ‘Sick and tired’

He’s known for being bold, brash and unabashed, but even listeners were surprised when radio host Kyle Sandilands launched a tirade at his radio station and called his colleagues “losers” on Friday.

The rant came after notes were released which showed the Kyle and Jackie O Show on KIIS FM coming in behind 2GB’s Ben Fordham.

While the Kyle and Jackie O Show recorded a 12.8% share of Syndey’s market, Fordham retained 16.9%.

In his tirade, Sandilands, 51, claimed: “We have to do everything ourselves…we even have to rewrite the live readings.”

He also alleged that some members of the company “can’t even write a live reading.”

“I’m tired of working here,” he said.

The new dad went on to blame “everyone outside of this show”, calling everyone a “big loser”.

The Kyle and Jackie O Show airs on KIIS FM, which operates under its parent company ARN. has contacted ARN to comment on the Sandilands color spray.

“Everyone is a loser, except everyone on this show, everyone off this show is a huge loser. I’m not kidding,” he said.

He then called ARN “absolute a**holes” and said “they have no idea”.

“This whole station couldn’t pull a root in a brothel with a wheelbarrow full of cash and a smile, they wouldn’t know it, they wouldn’t get screwed, they’re too dumb. Fools,” he said. added.

“I’m sick of this group hiring idiots to run things and then it takes them a year to find out this guy is an asshole and should be fired. Get rid of the flops. I should run this whole thing. seal.

“When I get mad, it’s always for a reason and…the bigger this business gets, the more money we make for it, it just fills it with more losers.”

The spray was just the latest in a long line of controversial moments for Sandilands on her breakfast show.

In August, the radio host described Monkeypox as “the big gay disease going around”.

“Only gay people get it,” Sandilands said.

“Have you seen the dirty scabs everyone gets?”

During the segment, Sandilands also brought in a medical expert – known as Dr KIIS – to talk about the seriousness of the virus.

“There is a small mortality rate, yes… Only a small rate, but there is a risk,” the expert told the show.

“Are you just rejecting because it doesn’t matter because they’re gay? asked Sandilands.

“Certainly not,” replied the expert.

Sandilands’ comments were branded ‘hurtful and deeply unnecessary’ by the Australian Federation of AIDS Service Organizations and drew the ire of Sydney Morning Herald columnist Andrew Hornery – who himself has come under fire for his reporting on Rebel Wilson’s homosexual relationship.

Horney said Sandlands had “deeply offended the marginalized groups” he claimed to have long championed, with the comments.

Victoria’s chief health officer, Professor Brett Sutton, also weighed in on the controversy on Twitter.

“Please remind me – what is Kyle Sandilands for? If you can’t say something constructive, maybe you’re quiet? ” he wrote.

ARN then released a statement, explaining that Sandilands was “renowned for its colorful vernacular”.

“We appreciate that those unaccustomed to his expressions may view the content as opinion, and the range of topics covered on the show is not to everyone’s liking,” the statement read.
