Peterborough Community Radio Wins Two National Awards
More than 200 people from across the UK gathered on Saturday 23 October at the Coventry Transport Museum, in partnership with Coventry UK City of Culture to celebrate the best of community radio. With over 430 entries there were 5 finalists per category with bronze, silver and gold winners.
The Community Radio Awards were first held in 2016 and awarded the awards across the country including Birmingham, Bristol, Sheffield, Barry and the 2020 awards took place virtually.
The PCRFM awards were received in the following categories:
SILVER Award – Male Presenter of the Year – Kev Lawrence
SILVER Award – Community Show of the Year – The Kev Lawrence Breakfast Show
PCR fm breakfast host Kev Lawrence was “thrilled” with the awards. He said: “We are delighted to be recognized with these prestigious awards. it wouldn’t be possible. The past 12 months have certainly been tough, we look forward to even bigger and better things in 2022.

Local radio connects communities and although some radio stations are moving away from this concept, PCRFM will continue to serve communities in Peterborough and surrounding areas and will continue to make a difference.
The Community Radio Awards are an independent, non-profit organization created to celebrate, promote and share best practices in community radio.
PCR fm began broadcasting in Peterborough in 2017 from our state-of-the-art studios based at the Herlington Center in Orton Malborne and broadcast throughout Peterborough on 103.2 Mhz FM.
The Kev Lawrence Breakfast Show launched in August 2020 and Kev has been in the industry for over 25 years.
