The incredible popular Nuneaton pub rock radio station that has kept regulars locked out
The popular Nuneaton pub rock radio station that has kept regulars locked out is to be revived.
The Crew Rock Radio had been a dream for Rich Burlingham, owner of the Queens Road-based venue, for five years – and the lockdown has made it a reality.
While the place was forced to close in the spring of 2020, at the height of the first confinement, the need for a radio arose.

With John Hook, the manager of the Crew and Queens Hall decided to put the station in motion to bring the regulars together around their passion for rock, punk and metal.
Richard Smith was one of the DJs to get involved: “We all shared John and Richard’s vision of what the station should be.
“Obviously, starting a station during a pandemic had its issues and now we’re on the other side, we want to give radio the start it deserved.”
To do this, a revival show is being held at the Queen’s Hall on Friday, March 11.
It will start at 1:30 p.m. and admission is free.
However, they are asking for donations to the Nuneaton and Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary.
There will be live sets from most of the resident DJs, with the addition of some live acoustic sets from local solo musicians.
The relaunch will provide a bright future for the non-profit radio station, which also includes potential collaborations for local students.
Discussions are underway to give students the opportunity to voluntarily help out at the station and be trained in sound and staging, lighting, media, and show promotion and hosting. their own shows.
