The radio show “UTEP Football with Dana Dimel” returns for the 2021 season

The radio show “UTEP Football with Dana Dimel” is back for the 2021 season, starting with the season opener on Wednesday 25 August.

Coach Dimel’s show will resume in person this year, while fans will also be able to tune in every minute on the flagship miners radio station, 600 ESPN El Paso.

Each week before and during the season, fourth-year head coach Dana Dimel will share the latest UTEP Football news with “Voice of the Miners” Jon Teicher, while recapping previous matches and previewing matches against the opponents to come.

“Coach Dimel and I are very excited to resume the live broadcast off campus,” said Teicher, deputy director of sports broadcasting at UTEP. “There is nothing quite like the opportunity to talk about UTEP football with the many Miner fans in El Paso. “

Dimel’s radio shows will alternate at two locations during the 2021 football season – Hudson’s Grill (1770 North Lee Trevino) on the east side and Holiday Inn Sunland Park (900 Sunland Park Drive) on the west side.

The first scheduled radio show is scheduled for Wednesday, August 25 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Sunland Park.

All shows are from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and can be streamed on 600 ESPN El Paso. Fans can also listen to the show on 600ESPN El Paso.

Dimel and the Miners open the 2021 season on Saturday August 28 with the “Battle of I-10” against NM State in Las Cruces. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. MT at Aggie Memorial Stadium. The home opener against Bethune-Cookman is scheduled for Saturday, September 4 at the Sun Bowl and will start at 7 p.m. MT.

Season tickets, match tickets and a variety of additional ticket packages are on sale for the 2021 UTEP Football season. Season ticket prices start from $ 65 and flexible payment plans are available.
