Toke Makinwa quits radio to focus on podcasting
Sept. 24 (THEWILL) — On Air Personality, Toke Makinwa, celebrated his last day as a broadcaster.
She took to Instagram on Friday and revealed it had been 12 years since her voice debuted on radio.
She shared a video that featured a collection of photos and video clips from her last day at work.
Makinwa noted that while she joined the station as a rookie, she left as a seasoned presenter.
The Glamor Girls actress further announced a fresh start by unveiling her new podcast, Toke Moments.
“It took me so long to share, but here we go. Guys, it’s been 12 years since my first day on the radio, and I finally salute.
“It has been the most exciting 12 years of my life. (So many memories) I joined as a rookie and now I can say I’m leaving as a seasoned broadcaster.
“As a queen of conversation I would like to take you all on a new journey, please come with me. For some it’s not that new so I would say high phase.
“Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to #TMPod. TokeMoments has joined @eggcorndigital @eggcornpodcastnetwork and we can’t wait to show you the new high Toke Moments. Stay tuned. #podcast #nigerianpodcast,” she said declared.
